Flora Bergmann Phillips, 85, of the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1994, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Oct. 25, 1908, at Perry County, the daughter of Ferdinand and Louise Fassold Bergmann. On Aug. 23, 1977, she married Homer L. Phillips of Potosi. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1981. She also was preceded by three brothers and six sisters...

Flora Bergmann Phillips, 85, of the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1994, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 25, 1908, at Perry County, the daughter of Ferdinand and Louise Fassold Bergmann. On Aug. 23, 1977, she married Homer L. Phillips of Potosi. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1981. She also was preceded by three brothers and six sisters.

A number of nieces and nephews survive.

She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University and taught high school in Perryville for several years. She then worked for the Missouri Division of Employment Security in St. Louis before her retirement in 1974. She moved to the Lutheran Home in 1981, and was a member of My Redeemer Lutheran Church in Potosi.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Perryville. The Rev. Barry Pfanstiel will officiate, and McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of the arrangements.
