FLAVIUS WEISSENBORN

ADVANCE -- Flavius E. Weissenborn, 92, of Advance died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Advance Nursing Center.

He was born Sept. 27, 1906, at Hickory Ridge, son of John Henry and Anna Josephine Felbinger Weissenborn.

He and Anna Lou Murphy were married Jan. 30, 1929, at Jackson. She died Dec. 18, 1992.

Weissenborn was a farmer. He had been school board director for Dongola Schools for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Advance and had served as a trustee.

Survivors include a son, Jim Weissenborn of Advance; a daughter, Marjean Hitt of Advance; a sister, Lorine Noble of Delta, five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Larry Greenfield and Clinton Woodfin officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
