GRAND CHAIN, Ill. -- Fern Shannon, 69, of Grand Chain, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 1995, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
She was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Metropolis, daughter of Thomas Y. and Ida Mae Fisher Larrison. She and Orlie L. Shannon were married Dec. 24, 1945, in Metropolis.
Shannon was a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church in Anna.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Mike Shannon of Cobden, Curtis Shannon of Jonesboro, James Shannon of Cobden; a daughter, Melanie Woodworth of Madisonville, Ky.; a sister, Violet Howell of Metropolis; a brother, Chellis Larrison of Metropolis, and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. Friday, and Saturday until 12:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Landmark Church, with the Revs. Charles Mitchell, John Larrison and Shannon Woodworth officiating. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery.
