MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Fern M. Murphy, 78, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 19, 1922, in St. Louis, daughter of Charles Freeman and Nellie C. Mabrey Markham.
Murphy was a senior nurses aide at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a sister, Gladys Nenninger of Leopold, Mo.; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Church, with the Rev. Bill Huggins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
