FERN MENEES

SCOTT CITY -- Fern Hilda Menees, 79, of Scott City, died Wednesday, April 10, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 10, 1916, at Illmo, daughter of Albert August and Carolina Rosena Rubel. She and Elza Earl Menees were married July 12, 1941. He died Aug. 23, 1976.

Menees attended the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include three sons, Herb Holder, Bob Rubel and Jim Menees of Scott City; two stepsons, Ray Menees of St. Louis, Ralph Menees of Scott City; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Raines of Scott City; a brother, Chuck Rubel of Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Marie Mirgaux of Scott City; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
