Claudia "Faye" Kirkpatrick, 85 of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Benton, Missouri, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her family. Claudia "Faye" Kirkpatrick, 85 of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Benton, Missouri, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 25, 1931, in Canalou, Missouri, to Claude Cletus and Iva Lena Pointer Bryant. She married Richard O'Neil Kirkpatrick on July 25, 1952, in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was a member of LaCroix United Methodist Church in Benton and the Red Hat Society of Benton. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Canalou High School.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Richie (Marge) Kirkpatrick of Fruitland; two daughters, Claudia (Albert) Kirkpatrick Rolwing of Terrell, Texas, and Joy (Kenny) Kirkpatrick Cochran of Morehouse, Missouri; a brother, Jerry (Mary) Bryant of Bertrand, Missouri; and six grandchildren, Amanda Rolwing Todt, Nick Kirkpatrick, Blake Kirkpatrick, Paul Ruff, Morgan Kirkpatrick and Kenlea Cochran.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Kirkpatrick; her parents; and an infant sister, Charlotte Bryant.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bryan Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Maynard Cemetery near Diehlstadt, Missouri.
