Faye Hopkins, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton, Mo.

She was born May 11, 1923, in Herrin, Ill., to Samuel and Audra Anderson Duty. She married Leonard Leon Hopkins, who preceded her in death in 1982.

Faye was a member of Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau and First Presbyterian Church in Carbondale, Ill. She loved traveling and enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include four daughters, Jane Glaab of Cape Girardeau, Marsha Hopkins of Phoenix, Doris Hayden (Jeff) of Anna, Ill., Debbie Heidari (Alex) of St. Louis; seven grandchildren, Matt, Amy, Sarah, Dan, Ben, Jenny and Rachel; three great-grandchildren, Colby, Jenny and Hayden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two grandsons and a sister.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Gary Brothers officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Williamson County, Ill.

Friends may also call at the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Cape First Missionary Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
