ADVANCE -- Fay E. Vermilya, 85, of Malden, died Thursday, March 10, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 20, 1908, at Malden, daughter of Henry and Etta Ballard Heck. She first married William Duba in 1925, who died Aug. 1, 1955. She later married LeRoy Vermilya July 2, 1970...

ADVANCE -- Fay E. Vermilya, 85, of Malden, died Thursday, March 10, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 20, 1908, at Malden, daughter of Henry and Etta Ballard Heck. She first married William Duba in 1925, who died Aug. 1, 1955. She later married LeRoy Vermilya July 2, 1970.

Vermilya was a member of First Assembly of God Church at Dexter.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Clyde Duba of Bloomfield, William Duba of Cathlamet, Wash., Donald Duba of Denver, Colo.; three daughters, Dean Chance of Malden, Ruth Boswell of St. Louis, Emma Estes of Chaffee; two brothers, Edgar Heck of Malden, Earl Heck of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grand-children, and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Heitman officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
