URBANA, Ill. -- Fannie E. Miller, 93, of Urbana died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born Aug. 15, 1907, daughter of David L. and Alice F. Miller. She first married Herbert C. Tucker April 13, 1927. He died July 4, 1938. She later married Fred W. Miller July 8, 1949. He died April 14, 1999...

URBANA, Ill. -- Fannie E. Miller, 93, of Urbana died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

She was born Aug. 15, 1907, daughter of David L. and Alice F. Miller. She first married Herbert C. Tucker April 13, 1927. He died July 4, 1938. She later married Fred W. Miller July 8, 1949. He died April 14, 1999.

Miller retired from Dixon State School, where she worked more than 30 years. She was a member of Dorothy Chapter 371 of Order of Eastern Star in Dixon, Ill. She was involved in the senior citizens organization and a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Dixon. She moved to Urbana in August 1999 and became a member of First United Methodist Church in Champaign, Ill.

Survivors include two sons, James Tucker of Urbana, Donald Tucker of Cedar Park, Texas; a daughter, LaWanda Huddle of Pollock Pines, Calif.; a brother, Francis Miller of Jonesboro, Ill.; a sister, Margaret Karraker of Fairview Heights, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 4-7 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alan Milligan officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
