DEXTER -- Fannie I. Karnes, 75, of Dexter, formerly of Vanduser, died Saturday, July 1, 1995, at her home.
She was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Lamar, Ark., to Benjamin and Martha Turner. On April 16, 1938, in Lamar, she married Lester Karnes.
Karnes was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Gene Karnes, Joe Karnes and Morris Karnes of Sikeston; a daughter, Debra Shelton of Searcy, Ark.; two sisters, Velva Bates of Dover, Ark., and Beatrice Treadway of Nevada City, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with Jim Faughn officiating and Dale Grissom assisting. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley.
