PINHOOK -- Ezra Lee Cross, 84, of Pinhook died Friday, June 27, 1997, at his home.

He was born Oct. 23, 1912, in Marianna, Ark., son of James Homer and Rozetta Munutte Cross. He married Hattie Simpkins.

Cross was a retired farmer, and member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Homer Cross of Charleston; three sisters, Devella Grant of Bloomington, Ill., Josephine Davis of Benton Harbor, Mich., Estella Briggs of St. Louis; five stepsons and four stepdaughters.

Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston from 7-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roosevelt Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
