Evertt William "E.W." Robbison, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
He was born July 28, 1924, in Short, Oklahoma, to Calvin Calhoun and Annie Mae Link Robbison. He and Freda Wiggs Robbison were married Feb. 13, 1945, at Piggott, Arkansas. She preceded him in death.
He served his country in the Army's 71st Infantry in the European Theater during World War II.
He was an active member of Maple United Methodist Church. He was a salesman for Ozarc Gas for 38 years and was very active in VFW 3838 activities. He had been a member of the Civil Defense and the Oddfellows. Evertt loved fishing, hunting and camping, but his greatest love was his family. He had more friends than a dog has fleas. Family and friends will never forget his great sense of humor.
Survivors include three daughters, Norma Mullins of Hazelwood, Missouri, Pamela (Bill) McGhee of Jackson and Trish (Dave) Seabaugh of St. Louis; a special friend, Zeta Seabaugh; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother, a sister and a son-in-law, Jerry Mullins.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Bryan Schaefer and Jim Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with military honors conducted by VFW Post 3838 and the Missouri Honor Guard.
