LOHMAN, Mo. -- Evie Mae Johnson, 80, of Lohman died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City, Mo.
She was born June 5, 1924, in Henderson Mounds, Mo., daughter of Eddie Lee and Florence Miller Morgan. She and Jessie A. Johnson were married June 20, 1942, at Charleston, Mo. He died in 1995.
She attended schools in Matthews, Mo., and was a full time homemaker. She was a member of First Church of God in Jefferson City, and loved to quilt and garden.
Survivors include a son, Charles A. (Peggy) Johnson of Farwell, Texas; three daughters, Glenda E. Johnson of Peoria, Ill., Betty (Michael) Nash of Lohman, Sharon S. Johnson of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Charles A. (Dawn) Johnson II of Clovis, N.M., Erin (Wade) Loar of Arkadelphia, Ark., Phillip R. Nash of Lohman; two great-grandchildren, Madison Johnson and Charles A. Johnson III; several nieces and nephews including Russell Carr of Arnold, Mo., who was raised and loved as a brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and five brothers.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Jefferson City Chapel.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Murrell officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, Mo.
