GLEN ALLEN -- Funeral service for Evia M. Toombs of Glen Allen will be at 1 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The Rev. Clinton Maffa will officiate and burial will be at the Grassy Cemetery.
Mrs. Toombs died Sunday at the Bond Nursing Care Center in Marble Hill. She was 78.
She was born May 12, 1912 at Tupelo, Miss., the daughter of the late Alfred and Chaney Simmons King.
On Oct. 2, 1981, she married James M. Toombs, who preceded her in death. She was of the General Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, James A. Toombs of Lutesville and Willif D. Toombs of Glen Allen; a sister, Anna M. Robbins of Marble Hill; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, a sister, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Lutesville.
