He was born July 10, 1904, in Jonesboro, Ill., son of Charles and Roena Peal Ussery.
He married Gusta I. McClard Dec. 6, 1932. She died in October 1986.

He had worked on the Frisco Railroad for 18 years and was retired from International Shoe Co.
She is survived by a son, Laverl Ussery of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Clara Farrow of Cape Girardeau; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
