ORAN -- Funeral service for Everett E. Wheeler, Oran Route 1, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Trinity United Methodist Church in Oran. The Rev. Bennie Wilsey will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Oran is in charge of arrangements.
Wheeler, 77, died Monday, June 24, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 23, 1919, at Senath, son of Daniel and Clara Trenary Wheeler. He and Blanche Linam were married Nov. 6, 1941.
Wheeler was founder and owner of Wheeler Steel Works in Morley, retiring in 1976. He was a member and office holder at Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a former secretary of United Methodist Men at Oran, and former member of Morley Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael Wheeler of Oran, Derek Wheeler of Sikeston; two daughters, Teresa Wright and Kathy Jackson of Sikeston; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers and three sisters.
