PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Everett S. Schnurbusch, 87, of Perryville died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at his home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1920, at Apple Creek, Mo., son of August and Theresa Leible Schnurbusch. He and Alma C. Buchheit were married Aug. 17, 1946. She died Jan. 26, 2008.
Schnurbusch was a heating and cooling technician and was a firefighter with Perryville Fire Department 20 years. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Post 133, and had been a Boy Scout leader.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Schnurbusch of Cape Girardeau, Kevin Schnurbusch of St. Louis; two daughters, Doris Cook and Karen Boice of St. Louis; four sisters, Lorine Buchheit of Perryville, Verna Buchheit, Esther Ochs and Margaret Renaud, all of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by American Legion service. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery with graveside military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133.
