Everett Stanley Blaylock, 86, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 1995, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born Sept. 27, 1908, at Highland, son of Robert Emmett and Margaret Elizabeth Fleming Blaylock. He and Ina Jewel Murphy were married in 1942 in Blytheville, Ark. She died in October 1972.
Blaylock worked for United Shoe Machinery Co. from 1940-70. He was a machinist and assistant district manager in Jonesboro, Ark., and later was district manager in Cape Girardeau of Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky and Tennessee and Northern Arkansas.
He moved to Harrison, Ark., after retiring, and then returned to Cape Girardeau in 1973. He was a member of VFW Post 3838. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include two brothers, Chester Blaylock of Cape Girardeau, Larry Blaylock of O'Fallon; three sisters, Oletta Cole of Farmington, Theresa Randol of Jackson and Marjorie Hildebrand of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
