SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Everett E. Ballard of Sikeston will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Amel Shibley will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home here after 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers are at 7.

Ballard, 45 years old, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 4, 1945, in Bell City, son of Leonard and Margie Eakin Ballard.

Ballard was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Sikeston American Legion Auxiliary, Sikeston Elks Lodge 2319, and Sikeston Eagles Aerie 3319.

He and the former Anita Layton were married Feb. 1, 1969, in Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rebecca of the home; two brothers, Dwayne Ballard of Bristol, Wis., Ron Ballard of Sikeston, and a sister, Mary Woodard of Sikeston.
