Romeoville Mo. -- Everett E. Barks, 81, of Romeoville, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, in his home.
He was born June 29, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of Thomas and Lillie Barks. He and Lillian Iola Barks were married for 59 years.
Barks served in the Navy in World War II. He was a retired electrician and a 50 year member of the IBEW Local 701.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dianna Johnson of Cordova, Tenn.; two sons, Michael Barks of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dwayne Barks of Braidwood, Ill.; a sister; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Memorial Chapel in Romeoville.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel. Internment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
