EVELYN WEBBER

Evelyn Lewis Webber, 92, of 1800 William died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born on Aug. 2, 1906, at Zadock, daughter of Guild C. and Elmina Lewis.

She married John K. Webber on Aug. 19, 1945, at Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of the First Church of God in Cape Girardeau and St. Marks Chapter 167 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1920.

She was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

She taught school for two years at Delta and Randles, and then worked as a bookkeeper for Missouri Utilities Co. for 10 years.

Survivors include her husband of Cape Girardeau and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the chapel.

The Rev. Roger Christiansen will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
