EAST PRAIRIE -- Evelyn Sue Jenkins Booker, 53, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 1995, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born June 18, 1942, at Morehouse, daughter of Clarence Layton and Lola Beatrice Berry Jenkins. She and Thomas Cleveland Booker were married in March 1971 at Ripley, Tenn.
Booker was a resident of Mississippi County for most of her life.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Bill Dickie DeLoach Jr. of Bell City; a daughter, Misty Michelle Jenkins of Sikeston; two brothers, Joe Clarence Jenkins of Aroboles, Colo., and William David Jenkins of East Prairie; five sisters, Gladys Grimes of Fairdealing and Goldie Patrick, Janice Nelson and Audrey DeLay, all of Marseilles, Ill., and Barbara Gaydos of Streator, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Farquhar officiating. Burial will be at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
