EVELYN MURRAH

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Evelyn Murrah, 87, of Chaffee died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Oct. 12, 1912, at Maben, Miss., daughter of Cullen and Inez Elmore Berry. She and James E. Murrah were married. He died Nov. 22, 1964.

Murrah was retired from Bussman Fuse in St. Louis, where she was an assembly line worker. She was a member of General Federation of the Women's Club of Ruleville, Miss.

Survivors include one son, Thomas G. Murrah of Benton; two sisters, Amy Higgenbotham of Norfolk, Neb., and Laura Hency of O'Fallon; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by five brothers.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton at 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
