EAST PRAIRIE -- Evelyn M. Walden, 80, of East Prairie, died Thursday, July 18, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 12, 1911, in East Prairie, daughter of Dr. A.J. and Annie Millar Martin.
She was retired from the Missouri Division of Family Services in East Prairie, and was a member of the First Christian Church of East Prairie, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.
She was also a member of the Kingshighway Chapter of the D.A.R.
On April 12, 1929, she married Roy M. Walden. He died Aug. 3, 1988.
Survivors are two daughters, Martha Ann Skaggs, Fredericktown and Judy Douglas, East Prairie; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Friends may call today after 5 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Brother David Bowden, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park.
