EVELYN JOHNSON

ANNA, Ill. -- Evelyn Eudene Johnson, 68, of Anna died Monday, March 16, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born March 16, 1930, at Buncombe, daughter of Samuel and Mamie Miller Morgan. She and Arnold Johnson were married July 22, 1947. He died March 11, 1993.

Johnson had worked at Brown Shoe Co. and then operated Howard's Corner Cafe, both in Charleston, Mo. She moved to Tamms in 1971 and to Anna three years ago.

Survivors include three sons, Billy Johnson of Murphysboro, Floyd Johnson of Barlow, Ky., Roger Johnson of Anna; a daughter, Judy Hunter of Tamms; two brothers, Glen Morgan of Oswego, Delaney Morgan of East Prairie, Mo.; a sister, Margie Sands of Rockford; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 4:30 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Swords officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
