PERKINS, Mo. -- Evelyn L. Irwin, 84, of Perkins passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Advance Nursing Center.
She was born Oct. 20, 1918, at Farrenburg, Mo., daughter of Walter and Sylvia Lane Lenon. She and Charles Irwin were married Sept. 3, 1933, at Jackson. He died Jan. 20,1982.
Evelyn was postmaster at Perkins 33 years.
Survivors include two daughters and spouses, Kay and Hoover Burlison and Jerrie and Bob Berry, all of Perkins; a sister, Margaret Roberts of Tempe, Ariz.; three grandchildren and spouses, Kelly and Candyce Burlison of Fredericktown, Mo., Lynn and Olivia Burlison of Perkins, Kristi and Tom Mathis of St. Peters, Mo.; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo., from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rick Crump officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
