SIKESTON, Mo. -- Evelyn Lois Howard, 74, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 19, 1929, in Paragould, Ark., daughter of John Wesley and Effie Bell Hinkle Jordan. She was previously married to Orville P. Payne and Robert L. McDowell. She and Tollie L. Howard were married March 9, 1974, in Ann Arbor , Mich.
Howard was a member of Sikeston Eagles Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Ray and Timmy Payne of Sikeston, Orville Payne of Bloomfield, Mo., Randy Payne of Chaffee, Mo.; three daughters, Loretta Holland of Ypsilanti, Mich., Robin Hayes of Malden, Mo., Alethea Roper of Sikeston; a sister, Lucille Alexander of New Madrid, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Scott Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
