GORDONVILLE -- Evelyn Hanschen, 79, of Gordonville, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born May 13, 1916, at Gordonville, daughter of Ernest and Myrtle Baugh Hitt. She and Ed Hanschen were married July 2, 1938.
Hanschen was a seamstress in her home about 20 years, and worked with St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary from 1975-91. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and had taught Sunday School many years.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Mike Hanschen of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Harold Hitt of Uniontown, John Hitt of Huntington Beach, Calif., and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven MacDougall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
