Evelyn Fore

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Evelyn B. Fore, 94, of Olive Branch passed on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at 8:24 a.m. in the Lutheran Home of Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 9, 1927 to Charles L. and Alice Virtus Hale Volner Sr. in Cairo, Illinois. She married Gene Fore, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed being a homemaker.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Steve) Burgess; seven grandchildren, Monica (Michael) Honey, Julie (Mikie) Poole, Joel (Rena) McHarry, Angela Dillinger, Tara (Mike) Story, Tanda (Jared) Vaughn and Clayton Fore; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles L. Volner Jr., William Volner and Walter "Wally" McCowan, and a son, Gary Fore.

Visitation will be from noon until the service time Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.

The funeral will at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms with the Rev. Steven Vester officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
