ANNA, Ill. -- Evelyn Pauline Cain, 79, of Anna died Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, at her home.
She was born March 10, 1927, in Alto Pass, Ill., daughter of Lloyd and Opal Lewis Smith. She and Gerald Cain were married Sept. 7, 1947, near Jonesboro, Ill.
Cain was a member, Sunday school teacher, secretary, treasurer and in charge of Bible school many years at Beech Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Beverly Earnhart of Dongola, Ill.; a son, Collin Cain; a sister, Lanita of Anna, Ill.; a brother, the Rev. Harold Smith of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a daughter.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
