CHARLESTON - Eva M. Harvell, 80, of Charleston, died on Thursday, Sept. 30 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 11, 1913, at Bankston, Ala., to Thomas M. and Mary E. McCullough Jones.
On Oct. 18, 1942, she married John W. Harvell, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Noah C. "Jim" Summers, Jr., of Cleveland, Ohio, George M. Harvell of Anniston, and Tony M. "Tim" Harvell of DeQueen, Ark. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Gunter, Sr., of Piedmont, and Mrs. Patricia K. Harvell of Mahtomedi, Minn.; four sisters, Opel Robinson of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Edith Robinson of Groveland, Ill., Ruth Hubbert of Jackson, and Evelyn Upton of East Prairie. Other survivors include 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Harvell was a life-long resident of Mississippi County, and a member of the Charleston Church of Christ.
Friends may call until 4 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., today, at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie, with Brother Aubrey Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, near Charleston.
