Eva A. Kelley, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Eva A. Kelley, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri.

Eva was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Delta to Harry and Mayme Adele Niswonger Ikerman. She and Shannon Wallace Kelley were married Aug. 3, 1946, in Cape Girardeau.

Eva worked at Southwestern Bell for 37 1/2 years. She was also a member of The Telephone Pioneers.

Eva had many hobbies. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, doll making and making Christmas ornaments. Eva also enjoyed yardwork and loved sitting outside on her sunny deck.

Eva was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two sons, Shannon Keith (Rhona) Kelley of Chatham, Illinois, and Timothy Lynn (Sandy) Kelley of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Marylyn Slinkard of Holly Springs, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Shanna (Shawn) Wilson and Katlyn (Tyler) Underwood of Cape Girardeau and Joshua Kelley of Kissimmee, Florida; and four great-grandchildren, Lance and Eva Wilson, Parker Kelley and Cash Underwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two sisters, Imogene Varnum and Ovella Wilson; and one brother, Richard Ikerman.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
