Eva Fern Hausser, daughter of Oliver and Millie Rodgers Hayes, was born in Louisville, Illinois on March 10, 1911 and passed away Sunday, March 8, 1998 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 86.
Mrs. Hausser was united in marriage to Ivan Steward in Jackson, Missouri on January 29, 1939. She was preceded in death by Mr. Steward on July 7, 1964 and also by four brothers and two sisters. On June 30, 1968 Mrs. Hausser was married to Virden Hausser in Jackson, Missouri. Mrs. Hausser retired from Choate Mental Health Center in Anna. She was a member of the East Cape Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Virden Hausser of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one son, Joe Neal Steward of White Fish, Montana; one step-son, John Hausser of LaFollette, Tennessee; two sisters, Josephine Henson of Advance, Missouri and Zola Cadwell of Glendale, Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 11, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hileman & Parr Funeral Services with Rev. Bill Whitener and Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the East Cape Baptist Church.
