SIKESTON -- Funeral service for E.V. Edwards of Sikeston will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. Pat Hogan will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Edwards, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, at his home. He was born Jan. 17, 1909, in Todd County, Ky., son of Ova and Maude McGee Edwards. He and Lorene Moore were married Dec. 9, 1927...

Edwards, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, at his home.

He was born Jan. 17, 1909, in Todd County, Ky., son of Ova and Maude McGee Edwards. He and Lorene Moore were married Dec. 9, 1927.

Edwards was a self-employed farmer, and member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Norris Edwards of Sikeston; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.
