MATTHEWS -- Euphelia Elizabeth Curtis, 65, of Matthews, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 13, 1927 in Humphreys County, Tenn., daughter of A.R. and Ollie Winters Curtis.
She was a lifelong resident of Matthews. She was a retired elementary school teacher, a member of the Matthews Church of Christ and a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association.
Surviving are eight brothers, Buel Curtis of Aurora, Ill., Perry Curtis of Serena, Ill., J.H. Curtis of Imperial Beach, Calif., Jerry Curtis of O'Fallon, Mo., and Nelson, Cleatus, Gene and Don Curtis, all of Matthews; and three sisters, Lois Hooks of Matthews, Barbara Lasters of Oran and Ruby Silverthorn of Sikeston.
One brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the funeral chapel with Paul Balch, minister of the Matthews Church of Christ, and Shelton Peeler of Cape Girardeau officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
