Eunice Calvin

Eunice P. Calvin, 89, of Jackson died Monday, April 13, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 20, 1919, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Lloyd C. and Minnie M. Fair Hafford. She married Wilbur Calvin, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Cairo.

Survivors include a son, Leon Calvin of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dorothy Cruse of Pocahontas, Ill.; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Pigg officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds, Ill.
