SIKESTON, Mo. -- Euleta M. Shaffar, 81, of Ballwin, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at her home. She was born Oct. 10, 1924, in Atkins, Ark., daughter of C. Dewey and Bertha A. Cossey Savage. She and Paul Leonard Shaffar were married June 13, 1946, in Osceola, Ark. He died Jan. 5, 1989...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Euleta M. Shaffar, 81, of Ballwin, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at her home.

She was born Oct. 10, 1924, in Atkins, Ark., daughter of C. Dewey and Bertha A. Cossey Savage. She and Paul Leonard Shaffar were married June 13, 1946, in Osceola, Ark. He died Jan. 5, 1989.

Shaffar worked in the capitol building in Jefferson City, Mo., in the 1950s. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. She had been an officer in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was formerly of Sikeston.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Shaffar of Wildwood, Mo., Geoffrey Shaffar of Benton, Mo.; two daughters, Pat Hoye of Ballwin, Judy O'Mara of St. Charles, Mo.; three brothers, Hank Savage of Jackson, Ga., Clarence "Ed" Savage of Millington, Tenn., Don Savage of Hattiesburg, Miss.; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Pat Quinn will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
