Eula Sides, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Nov. 15, 1917, in Advance, Mo., daughter of Marion and Edith Winchester Stuckey. She and Thomas L. Sides were married Feb. 24, 1945, in Hernando, Miss. He died April 6, 1984.
Mrs. Sides was manager at Bib-N-Tuck Children's Store in downtown Cape Girardeau. She was a receptionist at Dr. Dean Edwards office eight years, retiring in 1997 at 80 years of age. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include two sisters, Genny Menz of Benton, Mo., Leola Graves of La Grange, Ky.; six grandchildren, Steven Sides of Barnhart, Mo., Cindy Flottmann of Champaign, Ill., Pete Sides of Cleveland, Ohio, Denise Woodruff, Diana Herr and Lori Minnella, all of St. Louis; and nine great-grandchildren.
A son, Lee Sides, died in March 2001.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jay White officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Lutheran Home.
