Eula Marie Statler, 85, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Jan. 31, 1994, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born June 28, 1908, at Millersville, daughter of Walter B. and Flora Browning Talley. She and Truman B. Statler were married Aug. 16, 1925, at Millersville. He died June 21, 1987.

The Statlers built Cedar Lake at Millersville, which they operated for 15 years. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1983 from Jackson. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, and had been very active in its United Methodist Women.

Survivors include a daughter, Lillian Johnson of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Willard Talley of Jackson; two sisters, Mabel Seabaugh of Jackson, Helen Schnare of St. Charles; seven grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Neil Stein will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. today.
