BERNIE -- Eula Ellawee Rainey, 67, of Bernie died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at her home.
She was born April 5, 1931, at Lamar, Ark., to Sam and Lois Sparks Standridge.
She married James W. Smiley Nov. 13, 1961, at Sikeston. He died Aug. 22, 1974.
She married Lloyd G. Rainey July 15, 1987, at Bernie. He died March 26, 1991.
She was a homemaker and former owner and operator of the Golden Flame Restaurant.
Survivors include three sons, Gary Minney of Ladysmith, Va., Russell Adams of Ellsinore and Tim Smiley of Bernie; one daughter Janis Kay Herrington of Bernie; three step-daughters, Alice McCarthy of Malden, Eva Mae Canoy and Betty Weathers, both of Bernie; five brothers, Samuel Standridge of Fruitland, Kenneth Standridge of Wappapello, Charles Standridge of Bloomfield, and Dewayne and Earl Standridge, both of Sikeston; five sisters, Blanche Hardin of Dardanelle, Ark., Marie Phillips of Tulsa, Okla., Wilma Hasler of Fruitland, and Coy Summers and Wanda Walters, both of Sikeston; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. One step-daughter and one brother preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
