DEXTER -- Eula Burkhart, 85, of Dexter died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 12, 1912, at Morley, daughter of Albert and Mable Ramsey Lay. She first married Ernest Arnold April 22, 1935. He died in 1972. She later married George Burkhart July 6, 1974, at Dexter. He died Aug. 29, 1985.
Burkhart had lived at Dexter since 1985, and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Lampley and Jessie McRoy of Dexter; two brothers, Hugh Lay of Bloomfield and A.C. Lay of Dexter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Partin officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
