PATTON -- Eula Besher, 81, of Patton died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at the family home.

She was born May 23, 1916, near Bessville, daughter of Charles Edwards and Emma Patton Douglas.

She married Bob Besher on Oct. 4, 1941. He survives.

She was a member of the Post Oak Congregational Methodist Church near Patton.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Wayne Besher of Marble Hill; two daughters, Gladys Cook and Debbie Angle, both of Sedgewickville; a brother, Gene Douglas of Allenville; four sisters, Beaulah Marx of St. Louis, Delphia Brown of Marble Hill, Ruby Brotherton of Patton and Mildred Long of Sedgewickville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, with the Rev. Julius Mills officiating. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery near Scopus.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
