CHAFFEE -- Eugene Terrence White, 75, Chaffee Route 2, died Wednesday, April 17, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 10, 1920, at Nash, son of William Henry and Virgin Minnie Slinkard White. He and Golda Stidham were married April 27, 1957.
White had been a night watchman and maintenance worker at the former Superior Electric in Cape Girardeau, and had been a switchman with Frisco Railroad in Chaffee.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church at Rockview. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rose Myers, Chaffee Route 2; a brother, Edward White of Chaffee; seven sisters, Mary Dennis, Maude Taylor and Margery Jobe of Chaffee, Carol Morris and Martha Standridge of Sikeston, Camila Crumbaugh of Springfield, Ill., Janet Jaco of Delta, and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Nancy Woods officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
