EUGENE W. `BLUE' HAMPTON

SIKESTON -- Eugene W. "Blue" Hampton, 67, of Sikeston, died at 2:19 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Campbell, son of Charles and Vinie Vincent Hampton.

On Feb. 2, 1946, he married Pearline S. Couch, who died June 8, 1992.

He worked 20 years for Dement Farms and attended Smith Avenue Church of God.

Survivors are sons, Earl Hampton, Malden, Ronald Hampton, Rick Hampton and Michael Hampton, all of Sikeston, and Charles Hampton, DePue, Ill.; daughters, Sharon Bailey, Vickie Hampton, and Joyce Northern, all of Sikeston; sisters, Irene Terrell, Maxine Strong, Rosie Kean, Imogene Watson and Helen Jo Rice, all of Malden; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Two brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Larry Arnold, pastor of Smith Avenue Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery at Bernie.
