PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eugene Francis Renaud, 82, of Perryville died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at his home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1935, in Perryville, son of Joseph "Dewey" and Lurdene Weinkein Renaud. He and Gladys M. Berkbuegler were married May 6, 1961. She survives in Perryville.
Eugene worked as a welder for a railroad. He was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer, Missouri; American Legion Post 133; AmVets Post 94; and the Country Music Association. He served in the Army National Guard.
Other survivors include a daughter, Joy (Brian) Summers of High Ridge, Missouri; a son, David (Julie) Renaud of O'Fallon, Missouri; three brothers, Wayne Renaud and Loy Renaud, both of Perryville, and Stanley Renaud of Fenton, Missouri; and a granddaughter, Emily Renaud.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Arly Berkbuegler; an infant son; and an infant daughter.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 9:20 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
He will then be taken to Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer for a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Joe Geders, C.M., officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military graveside rites provided by American Legion Post 133 and the Delta Team.
Memorials are preferred for family use.
