CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Eugene V. Bushard, 98, of Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Chaffee, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010.

He was born Feb. 26, 1912.

Bushard was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and barbered at the Minneapolis Athletic Club from which he retired in 1977.

Survivors include a son, David E. (Susan) Bushard; a daughter, Karleen (Christopher Pilon) Bushard; a brother, Carl Bushard; and a sister, Virginia (Elvis) Wilkinson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen.

A private graveside service will be held in Chaffee.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
