ADVANCE, Mo. -- Eugene "Short" Berry, 75, of Union City, Okla., formerly of Advance, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, in Union City.
He was born Aug. 31, 1925, at Leora, Mo., son of Archie and Lottie Berry. He and Ruth Wells were married Aug. 16, 1946, at Bloomfield, Mo. She died March 17, 1999.
Berry owned and operated a restaurant in Advance, worked in construction, and retired in 1988 from Dresser Engineering. He was a member of Advance VFW.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Berry of Springfield, Mo., Bradley Berry of Batesville, Ark.; a daughter, Tammy Bollinger of El Reno, Okla.; two sisters, Betty Blankenship of Advance, Norvolla Spangler of Coldwater, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
