CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Etta Mae Kassel, 93 years old, 611 South West End Boulevard, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 1990, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 4, 1897, at Millersville, daughter of Norman Earl and Nora Walker Niswonger.
She married Frank Penny in 1913. He preceded her in death. She married Charles B. Kassel in 1922. He died in 1939.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors are sons, William L. Kassel, Cape Girardeau, and Walter Kassel, St. Martin, Netherlands Antilles; stepsons, Gilbert Kassel, Perryville, and Norman Niswonger, Texas; daughters, Aldana Kimmich, Cape Girardeau, and Shirley Peat, Playa Dell Rey, Calif., and Hazel Crose, Satasota, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Irene Brandes, Jackson; a brother, Thurman Niswonger, Advance; a half brother, Norman Niswonger, Frohna; a sister, Dorothy Tarantine, Wellsville, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Carl Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
