Etta Lee Fox, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born March 28, 1918, at Devol, Okla., the daughter of Tilbert B. and Maude Winton Kimes.
She married Thomas U. Fox July 31, 1937, at Franklin, Ky. He preceded her in death May 30, 1991.
Mrs. Fox served as a Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scout leader for 10 years each. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and E.J. Browne of Cape Girardeau; another son-in-law, Ken Griffor Sr. of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Claudine Flanigan of Chattanooga, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Ken Griffor Jr., Karl Griffor, Keith Griffor, and Cassie and Laura Browne; and four great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Bettye Anne Griffor, and one sister preceded her in death.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
