SIKESTON -- Etta L. Hill of Sikeston died at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center here.
Hill, 101, was born Dec. 23, 1889, at Jerusalem, Ark., daughter of John and Katie Brashears Wiley.
She was a member of the Shady Acres Church of Christ.
On May 16, 1909, she married John A. Hill in Jerusalem. He preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1974.
Survivors include a son, Jim Hill of Louisville, Ky.; five daughters, Amy Vest of New Albany, Miss., Wilma Kelley of Appleton, Ark., Imo Throop of Sikeston, Ola Kelley of Essex, Mo., and Emogene Dollar of Sikeston; a brother, George Wiley, of Ft. Smith, Ark.; one sister, Mary Latham of Atkins, Ark.; 25 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and seven great, grandchildren.
Two sons, two daughters, and two grandsons, preceded her in death.
Service will be conducted at 10:30 Saturday morning in the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel at Sikeston, with John Hoover, minister of the Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
